Maureen Denise McCormick is the sole child of Richard McCormick. She was born on August 5th, 1956 in Woodland Hills. The mother was also a homemaker. There are three brothers older than her: Michael, Dennis and Kevin. McCormick began performing and singing from an early age. Also, she performed for youngsters in the community. When she was just six, she won at the Baby Miss San Fernando Valley competition. It led her to receive a call to Pat Domigan at the Jack Wormser Agency inquiring if the young girl would like to pursue an employment in the entertainment industry. McCormick was chosen for her first major role during 1964. McCormick appeared in a Mattel commercial featuring her doll Baby Pattaburp. Another commercial for Mattel was filmed in 1964 to promote their "Chatty-Cathy" doll. The following year, she was chosen as the main character in the show Wind It up and It is Broken at the La Jolla Playhouse. McCormick played the youngest of three girls who had two heads on The Brady Bunch TV show The Brady Bunch. Florence Henderson was the main character as well as Robert Reed was the father. It lasted five years.
